I am going to Germany with my family, we will spend new year's eve there, I wanted to find a nice places for my family to visit. This guide compared to the Austria and Swiss ones was way below. Now I think a Lonely Planet would have been much better.

The book is ok, it is huge. Kind of overwhelming and takes up a lot of space in the carry on and hand bag.
I took this book and Maui Revealed to Maui this month, and liked Frommer's more. Frommers was easy to reference & warned you about which hikes would be trespassing in Hana. It warned you about which areas are crowded and should be avoided. The restaurant recommendations are spot on, as usual, categ
