S&L SELLS KALSEP TO HYDRANAUTICS
Hydranautics BV, the European subsidiary of Oceanside, California-based Hydranautics, has purchased the Smith & Loveless Inc UK affiliate Kalsep Ltd.
Based in Camberly, Kalsep specializes in the engineering of membrane based water treatment systems for municipal and industrial applications. The company will now trade as Hydranautics Ltd.
As part of the agreement, Smith & Loveless will retain the exclusive rights to manufacture and market FIBROTEX filtration technologies in North America, Central America, South America and all US territories and possessions. Smith & Loveless will also retain a non-exclusive right to sell the FIBROTEX technology to the rest of the world.
In announcing the sale, Robert Rebori, chairman and CEO of Smith & Loveless, and Ken Klinko, president and COO of Hydranautics, said that the transaction would allow both companies to continue to focus on their strengths and develop and use the latest advances in their respective markets.
