โœฆ Synopsis

Time goes fast. It is already 2009, and Laser Physics Letters starts the sixth year of its existence, with the first issue of volume 6 being out of print.

We are pleased to inform you that during these years LPL has become one of the top-rank journals in laser physics. Of course, this has been possible due to the high-level contributions from the authors of more than fifty countries.

We are glad to inform our past and future authors that the 2007 impact factor of LPL is equal to 1.918.

A high-power wavelength-tunable femtosecond fiber laser source is developed based on photonic-crystal-fiber technology. Laser oscillator and amplifier stages in this system employ diode-pumped ytterbium-doped single-polarization large-mode-area photonic-crystal fibers in a stretcherfree configuratio
