We report on the observation of anti-Stokes emission 'PO d3H4 following excitation of the 'D, level ofPr'+ in (B,O,),,(CaF,),,.

A simple model which considers energy transfer inside pairs of Pr3+ ions is used to describe the up-converted emission.
