Abstract
This paper treats the experimentally observed operating features of the diffraction radiation oscillator in a situation of maintaining biharmonic oscillations in the resonant circuit. The process of electronβbeam interaction with biharmonic oscillation is shown to realize intrinsic physical mechanisms of the oscillator frequency stabilization which are put into effect depending on the dispersion competition of the waves in the oscillator resonant cavity.βΒ© 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
