โœฆ Synopsis

In addition to the sine-cosine functions, sawtooth waves, square waves, triangular waves, trapezoidal waves, etc. are also easily generated periodic functions for modern electronics. Similar to Fourier analysis, a signal can be considered as a superposition of easily generated functions with different frequencies. In this letter, we discuss the change-of-bases formulas and consider the problem of convergence. Only the L 2 := L 2 [-ฯ€, ฯ€] setting is presented.

The human, visual inspection is the main quality control procedure in egg grading. Eggshells are inspected for cracks and dirtiness on the shell and for internal egg abnormalities, such as blood and meatspots. With the development of high-speed electronic grading machines ('10 000 eggs/h per lane),

A structural modi"cation method based on frequency response functions is presented in terms of an inverse eigenvalue problem. The design objective is to derive multiple lumped mass, damper and sti!ness modi"cations needed to reallocate eigenvalues and specify eigenvectors of an existing structure. A

A measured frequency response function (FRF) based structural modi"cation method is presented to obtain optimal structural changes to enhance its natural frequencies. Structural dynamics modi"cation (SDM) has been widely used for improvements of built-in structures. However, the optimum design obtai

A mathematical model is derived for describing a multiple-attack pathway for enzymatic generation of block structure in binary linear copolymers having initially a randomized sequential structure. The model is based on sequential information in terms of copolymer monads, diads, and triads estimated
