FLUOR DANIEL WINS ABU DHABI CONTRACT

Fluor Daniel has signed a contract to provide project management consultancy services for the ADNOC-Borealis' petrochemical complex in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, in the Arab Emirates.

Fluor Daniel's Petroleum & Petrochemicals operating company will provide project management, design, engineering, procurement and construction consultancy services for a world-scale ethylene unit, two polyethylene units and associated utilities and offsite tacilities. Polyethylene technology will be based on state-of-the-art Borstar bimodal technology, provided by Borealis. The complex is a joint venture, owned 60 per cent by ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) and 40 per cent by Borealis, which is the largest producer of polyolefin plastics in Europe and the fifth largest worldwide.
