Ten years ago Brian was taken from Earth and cast into the unknown. Now the second in command onboard a Kalaidian starship named the Avoni, he's on the threshold of changing. As the red eyed glare consumes him the Galactic Confederation is in divided on the issue of his fate. At the same time, the ship he is to captain, the Freedom, is nearing completion. Will he survive the awakening? And will Brian and the Maidens be able to unify the peoples' of Alden? All will be answered with the birth of Heaven's Light.
