โฆ Synopsis
The influence of some parameters on the natural vibration frequency of a non-linear two-member frame is studied. The perturbation method is used for solving the problem which is formulated on the basis of Hamilton's principle. Numerical results concerning the influence of prestress and axial force on the natural frequency are compared with those from an experiment. Additional numerical results show the effect of the distribution of both the flexural and axial rigidities, as well as the mass per unit length between frame's members on the natural frequency of the system. The amplitude-frequency relation for different loadings is demonstrated also.
