Abstract

Free‐radical copolymerization of methyl acrylate (MA) with Np‐chlorophenylmaleimide (NPCMI) and Np‐bromophenylmaleimide (NPBMI) initiated by AIBN in cyclohexanone solution at 75°C was studied. The copolymer composition has been determined from the nitrogen content and NMR spectra of the copolymers. The reactivity ratios have been calculated by ML, FR, KT, and JJ methods. Q and e values of NPCMI and NPBMI have also been calculated by the Alfrey–Price Qe scheme.
