Given the social play of the 199Os, evaluation of health and human service programs in community settings (EHHSPCS) is likely to be a high-growth sector for program evaluation. In this chapter, I assess how this volume furthers our understanding of evaluation of health and human service programs in community settings, including the roles that evaluators can play. I do this by framing some key dimensions of EHHSPCS and briefly assessing how these chapters contribute to this framework.
