โœฆ Synopsis

Samples of poly-(S)-4-methyl-l-hexene and poly-(R)(S)-4-methyl-l-hexene having different stereoregularity have been fractionated on the basis of tool. wt. by fractional precipitation, using benzene as a solvent and nitrobenzene as a non-solvent. Results are discussed in terms of the relationships between tool. wt. and stereoregularity, and differences in tool. wt. distribution between the two polymers are emphasized. In the range investigated, no measurable dependence of optical activity on mol. wt. has been found in the case of poly-(S)-4-methyl-l-hexene.

## Abstract **Summary:** In this communication, we report the first rheological study on the chainโ€straightened Niโ€diimine poly(1โ€hexene)s and investigate the unique effect of chain straightening on plateau modulus and entanglement molecular weight of this series of polymers. Two Niโ€diimine poly(1โ€
