β¦ Synopsis
This paper discusses the characterization of wheel profiles using fractal analysis and the Data Dependent Systems approach. The wheel profiles studied are profilometry data taken from the surfaces of resinoid diamond wheels. Fractal analysis of wheel profiles reveals that wheel surfaces exhibit fractal characteristics over a linear range, limited by the traced length at larger scales and the measuring method at smaller scales. This study finds that: (i) the fractal dimension for the wheels studied range from 1.006 to 1.015; (ii) the fractal dimension of a coarser wheel is larger than that of a finer wheel; and (iii) fractal dimension is highly correlated to the grinding responses, i.e., normal force, power, and surface finish. It is concluded that fractal analysis is comparable to the Data Dependent Systems (DDS) approach for wheel profile characterization.

## Abstract This article presents the design of a wheelβshaped wide band fractal antenna. This fractal antenna has been designed on substrate Ξ΅~r~ = 4.3 and thickness __h__ = 1.53 mm. The new antenna has been fed with coplanar waveguideβfed. The antenna exhibits the excellent ultrawide bandwidth fr
