โฆ Synopsis
In Bulletin Number H-09, CIAC reports on the contents of a bulletin released by Hewlett-Packard regarding a vulnerability with the use of user or group IDS greater than 60 000 on HP 9000 series 700/800 systems running version 10.20. This problem leads to an increase in capability and unauthorized access. HP recommend not using large user and group IDS. The company advises using SAM to change accounts that have large user and group IDS. For all group IDS greater than 60 000: select the accounts for Users and Group Users menu in SAM and modify the accounts in the group with the large group IDS to use a group with an ID less than 60 000.
