✦ Synopsis

Photovoltaic research and technology is presently in a particularly dynamic period. The growing interest in photovoltaics as a potential energy source as well as their continued and vigorous use in space is stimulating the greatest interest and financial support ever. New and exciting avenues of research and technology development and applications are being uncovered.

The scope of the conference will span the range from fundamental understanding to commercial application. It is expected that about 300 papers will be selected for presentation. In an attempt to expose this information to the widest possible audience, we anticipate both oral presentations and poster sessions. Additionally there will be an exhibition of appropriate products and application demonstrations to enhance awareness of the technological base of the photovoltaic industry.
