✦ Synopsis
A Fourier transform inversion procedure to measure energy pair correlations has been applied to the analysis of NO(X%) LIF Doppler profiles obtained from the photodissociation of CH,ONO. The method is shown to be capable of resolving energy distributions of the CHrO fragment for particular state-selected NO partner fragments. In the present example the internal energy distribution of the CHsO fragments was established as being approximately Gaussian with no evidence for energy correlation of the two fragments.
