✦ Synopsis
In this paper, a four-port digital millimetric recei¨er ( ) FPrDMR is studied in detail. The FPrDMR is achie¨ed by eliminating one of the output ports and the reference port of an ordinary six-port junction in the digital millimetric recei¨er proposed earlier. This paper pro¨ides the principle of operation of FP r DMR, its real time or ''on-line'' calibration methods, and a comparison with a traditional quadrature I r Q recei¨er. The principle of operation of the FP r DMR ( ) can also be used at lower frequencies e.g., in the L-band whene¨er mass-market applications demand the lowest possible recei¨er costs.
