✦ Synopsis

Stockholm: Research Institute of National Defense, 1972. – 17 p.

NASA technical translation. This report deals with a FORTRAN program for numerical calculation projectiles trajectories with two degrees of aeromechanical freedom. Dupuis’ law of air resistance is applied under OB [expansion unknown] standard atmospheric conditions. The program selects a time step with regard to initial velocity and air resistance. The program then adapts this time step to the trajectory continually during the entire operation. The program costs less than 1 kr/trajectory, and is therefore suitable when many trajectories are to be calculated. Agreement with firing tables is extremely good, and the program error is entirely within the accuracy of the tables.
