✦ Synopsis
It has been shown that to a first approximation the problem of gas flow in front of a flame front can be reduced to the problem of gas movement in fro& of a piston which is accelerated according to the same law by which the flame is accelevated in reality. Calculation of the point of development of the shock wave, agveement with expeviment. (2) By according to Hugoniot, is in a satisfactory measuring directly the velocity of the shock wave before and after passage through the flame it has been experimentally shown that the shock wave grows b intensity as it passes through the flame. We have obtained a dependence of the shock wave intensification on the composition of the mixture and its initial pressure.
