โœฆ Synopsis

The formation of silicato complexes of aluminium in aqueous solution at pH 8 was studied by chromatography and flow injection analysis. Most of the aluminium formed anionic species with Al-0-Si bonds in monosilicic acid solution. A complex AzL6 (A = aluminium; L = Si in silicic acid) could be separated on a Sephadex G-50 column. The existence of mononuclear complexes of aluminium, AL3 and AL4, was suggested from an adsorption experiment on an anion-exchange resin.

The electrochemical behaviour of pure aluminium in aqueous KOH solutions has been examined by steady state and non-steady state techniques (impedance, potential pulse., potential scan). The kinetics and mechanism of the reaction of complexation of chromium(II1) with 2-acetylcyclohexanone has been investigated spectrophotometrically in aqueous solution at 50ยฐC and ionic strength 0.5 mol dm-3 NaC104. The equilibrium constants of the complex have been determined. The mechanism propose
