We report on CoCrPt ternary alloy phase formation and changes in magnetic properties of Co/Cr/Pt multilayers due to 1 MeV N + ion irradiation at room temperature. Irradiation induced changes occurring across the Co/Cr/Pt interfaces are studied by X-ray reflectivity, glancing angle X-ray diffraction,
