✦ Synopsis


Hitherto unknown selenoketene, CH2=(3=Se, has been produced by pyrolysis of 1,2,3-selenodiazole and identified by observation of microwave absorption from CH2=C=*OSe and CH2=C=78Se. The C=C and C=Se bond lengths of selenoketene agree with bond lengths in ketene. CH2=C=O, and in carbonyl sulpbide, O=C=S.

The microwave rothonal spectra of C6H1,%1 and C6Htt 37C1 have: been measxed. The rotational constants A, B and C and quadrupole coupling constants were determined. Some structural information was obtained.
