โฆ Synopsis
Do you have what it takes to succeed...
even if it's murder?
I planned for everything, everything but a homeless kid.
Welcome to the worst day of my life.
Since 2008 I had seen dozens of colleagues discarded in the financial crisis as mega corp struggled to remain profitable. I would be next and I needed a Plan B.
But my Plan B was on the other side of the law.
I left life as a hard-working corporate project manager for a 3 year solo project. Then onto permanent vacation and the good life in the islands. After a rough start I was finally feeling confident.
Only 17 months left.
A homeless kid, corrupt cops, and rotten luck converge in Jackson, Mississippi.

Review
The critics have spoken:
'Raw, edgy, a solid slap upside the head. Was not expecting anything like this when I started reading.'
'Usually I do not read this kind of books. Lots of dirty language, drugs, violence... but this one is different.'
'Deepest black noir with the essentials of corrupt cops, morally ambiguous protagonists and foul coincidence.'
'Tell everyone I didn't teach you those words. You always had a dark mind, even as a child' - my mother
From the Author
People keep asking me how I came to this story.
I was working for an IT consulting firm and living in London while my wife was back in the US taking care of a sick parent.
Had some good smoke and met some English growers at 420 events in Amsterdam. Since I'm an American living in England they can be pretty sure I'm not a cop. It helps being a trustworthy sort of bloke too, one that knows to keep his mouth shut, and someone who knows a Kush from a Haze.
I became friends with one grower in particular that let me tour his grow rooms and also permitted me to help. He answered hundreds of questions about the systems and processes used. My education is in system and process design but I've only ever designed software systems, nothing real. I absorbed everything I could. Learned a lot on line too. YouTube used to be full of HOW-TO videos before the purge.
Forced Entry came about thanks to some late night conversations with growers in Amsterdam, a good friend who grew some spectacular strains and let me help, and frustration from being alone working in a job I didn't like.
The story is centered around one question I asked each grower I met. What is the worst thing that can happen? There were many scenarios discussed but a break-in was mentioned by each grower.
My ignorance of English law and customs prohibited me from setting the story in England so it was back to Mississippi and other places I know.
At its core Forced Entry is the story about a man who can see the finish line at last and then the bottom falls out of everything. He will be tested to see if he is human or animal and in the process learns that people can be both.
I hope you like it.
