โœฆ Synopsis


A valence force field has been derived for the 8A1 and 7B, in-plane vibrations of selenophene and tellurophene. The force constants' refinement has been derived from experimental frequencies previously obtained for selenophene and tellurophene. Numerical values of the force constants show that there is a noticeable variation in the ring-aromaticitv of these congeners, going from thiophene to tellurophene, as previously established by diffeyent techniques.
