The current applications of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the thorax have been relatively limited compared with those in the central nervous, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal systems. The potential for applications in the thorax are indeed significant, as can be seen in this focused special issue concentrating on current status and future potential.

## Abstract This article presents a method for depth estimation using image focus based on the linear regression model. Two datasets are selected for each pixel based on the maximum value which is calculated using Laplacian operator. Then linear regression model is used to find lines that approxima
