Turning a foul waterway into a potential public amenity was going to call for some tough action. A key aspect of the project involved assembling a pump piece by piece in a 'flushing" tunnel. With difficult access the pump had to require minimal attention throughout its long life. ITI" provided the pump which gave the answer.
