✦ Synopsis

A new fluorometric method for the determination of carbodiimides with tranr-aconitic acid as a reagent has been developed. With the present method, as little as 50 pmol of carbodiimides can be determined. The relative standard deviations obtained with 25 nmol of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC), diisopropylcarbodiimide (DIC), and I-ethyl-3-(3dimethylaminopm pyl)carbodiimide HCl (EDC) were 1.35, 1.41, and 2.72% (n = IO), respectively.
