uo2 I U30B and ThO, were fluorinated hy NH,HF2 either alone or in conjunction with NHIF at room temperature to CNH#FB.2HZ0 , [NH, I, 'JO2 F5 H2 0 and [NH4],ThF0.2H,0 respectively. The TG/DTA and powder XRD techniques were employed t0 study the thermal decomposition of these compounds and identify the final residues as UFh, U02F2.2H20 and ThF4.
