โฆ Synopsis
Synchrotron radiation in dx single-bunch mode was employed IO study time-resolved emission from Cu atoms and dimws isolaled in a NC matrix. The decay lime ol the matrix-relaxed emission al 3.5 eV for Cu in Ne arwr excitation of the 4s + 4p resonance transition was determined as 6.9+0.3 ns, while exciration into higher-lying 3d 4 4p transirions resulted in 3 much slower decay of the 3.5 eV emission. From analysis or rise and decay limes. a detailed diagram Tar energy dissipation in matrix-isolaled Cu atoms has been derived. The B --L X (S, --( Es) emission or Co2 in NC has a first-order decay lime of about 10 ns.
