✦ Synopsis
Resonance fluorescence spectra of CF2(*Bl. 040, K' = 9) excited at 253 7 nm have been observed III the photolysis of C21-4 using a low-pressure mercury lamp. At low CzF4 pressures, the spectra with a series of doublet bands from 254 to 400 NII were cons&tent with the transltions from *Bi, 040, K' = 9 to 'Al. 0v';O. K" = 8. 10, and also to 'Al, 1~~0. K" = 8. 10 The appearance of doublet bands (AK = = 1) prowdes clear ewdence that the transition IS of the perpendicular type.
