CONOCO-BECHTEL LICENCES COKING PROCESS The Conoco-Bechtel Coker Technology Alliance is to provide Conoco-licenced delayed coking technology for two of Exxon's refineries. Exxon has selected the Conoco Coking Process for the recently announced grass roots Coker Project at its Baytown, Texas refinery. The addition of the 40 000 barrel-per-day coker to the Baytown refinery is part of Exxon's crude oil supply agreement with the Mexican state oil company, Petroleos Mexicanos. Additionally, Exxon has chosen to licence Conoco-Bechtel delayed coking technology for the three existing coking units at its Baton Rouge refinery. Under the Conoco-Bechtel Alliance, which was formed in 1994, Bechtel operates as Conoco's exclusive worldwide partner to market the Conoco Coking Process.
