## Abstract **BACKGROUND:** The immobilized cell fluidized bed reactor and contact oxidation biofilm reactor are two common choices for high strength ammonia wastewater treatment, however, comparative study of the nitrification performance of the two reactors has not been thoroughly studied. The ni
