Spectra or decay rates of spatial fluctuations for different Lattice Gas Cellular Automata (LGCA) Fluids are discussed using the Boltzmann equation. We demonstrate how the spectra provide information on the time and length scales of hydrodynamic behavior, isotropy and existence of spurious conservat

✦ Synopsis
A class of lattice gas automata giving rise to diffusion at the macroscopic level is investigated both analytically and numerically. We focus on the non-equilibrium properties of the automata and, in particular, on the appearance of algebraically decaying long-range fluctuation correlations when the system is constrained to evolve to a non-equilibrium steady state, arbitrarily far from equilibrium.
