✦ Synopsis
A new approach for the sensitive determination of oxalate was developed. Iron(B) generated in the photochemical decomposition of iron(III)-oxalate complex was measured by its catalysis of the chemiluminescent luminol reaction in the abscence of added oxidant. A flow-injection configuration is proposed for the determination of oxalate over a concentration range of 1.0 X lo-'-1.0 X 10e4 M with a throughput of 30 samples/h. The effect of a large number of potential interferents was investigated and a method devised for the determination of oxalate in urine.
