## Abstract A procedure to stain the centromeric region of chromosomes for dual beam flow cytometric analysis is described. Serum from a CREST (Scleroderma syndrome) patient presenting a high titer of anticentromeric antibodies was chosen on the basis of specificity of labeling of cells on slides.

Background: There is evidence suggesting cross-talk among gland cells of the anterior pituitary. We had reported a rare form of synaptoid contact between corticotrophs in the anterior pituitary of the dog. We then found similar synaptoid contacts with different characteristics in the rat, as describ
Quantitation of immunofluorescence intensity serves to estimate the number of defined molecules expressed on or in cells. Clinical applications of this diagnostic tool are increasing, e.g., aberrant expression of various antigens (Ag) by leukemic blasts or lymphoma cells, intensity of CD38 expressio
The fluorescent, non-metabolizable glucose analog 6-[N-(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazol-4-yl)amino]-6deoxyglucose (NBDG) was used to measure rates of hexose transport by dissociated brain cells from developing and adult rats. Flow cytometric analysis of glucose uptake and expression of glucose transpor
