A new nozzle assembly using Hg-photosensitized reaction has been developed to obtain a jet-cooled radical beam. This tcclmiquc was npplird to produce 3 HNO r;ldicd beam. Laser-induced fluorescence excitation spectra were obtained for the X 'A" -% 'A' systern.Tinle-rrsolved measurements yielded fluorescence lifetimes of 22-29 ps for single rovibronic Ievels 0i IWO.
