✦ Synopsis

This paper reports measurements of the range of air/fuel ratios over which a baffle will stabilize a flame in a rapidly flowing mixture of fuel vapors and air. This range of stable operation was observed as a function of mixture velocity, baffle diameter and baffle shape, mixture temperature and mixture pressure.
