## Abstract Three new pentacyclic steroids, taccalonolides W–Y (**2**–**4**, resp.), have been isolated from the whole plants of __Tacca plantaginea.__ Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods including extensive 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR experiments.
