Christmas holidays in Kirrin Cottage β€” a new tutor to coach during the holidays β€” his dislike of Tim the dog, and the fights George has with him because of this β€” a mysterious piece of linen found, with queer directions for a β€œSecret Way.” Sliding panels, cupboards with false backs, moving stones, a secret passage, stolen papers β€” all these make a most exciting book, which no child will want to put down once he has begun the tale. Enid Blyton is at her best in these adventure stories. Julian, Dick, Anne, Georgina, and Timothy the dog move through the pages, and we go with them, eager and excited.
