We have studied the equilibrium vortex state of various layered superconductors by torque magnetometry. From the angle dependence of the torque the anisotropy of the magnetic penetration depth y = L\_L -/ LII is determined. In T12Ca2Ba2Cu3010 and Bi2Sr2CaCthO 8 we find extreme values up to y = 900.
