✦ Synopsis

A new emission system has been observed in the Ar afterglow reaction of Kr in the 710-720 nm region. It is ascribed to the C t 3/2 ~ A l 3/2 transition of ArKr +. The molecular constants of the C I 3/2 and A 1 3/2 states of ArKr + have been determined on the basis of a vibrational analysis.
