✦ Synopsis
The "red" A 2 Il --, X 2 Z+ system of *4Ct4N was first observed in the laboratory. The wavenumbers of the two bands (O-O) and (O-l) WCIC reduced simultaneously to give molecular parameters for the A*n(u = 0) and X *S+(LI = 0, 1) vibrational levels. Comparisons with parameters deduced from those of 1zC'4N arc prcscnted.
