In today's competitive world, success (and survival as well) of any polymer processing industry depends heavily on its ability to produce a high quality product at low cost while meeting tight delivery schedules. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) is a powerful and emerging technology that helps industry accomplish this goal.

This symposium focuses on polymer processes such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, compression molding, and resin transfer molding. Variations and recent innovations of these processes such as coinjection molding and gas-assisted injection molding and applications such as chip encapsulation are also included.
