โœฆ Synopsis

Measurements of intensity and transmittance in the spectral range 0.6-5 # m are reported for polypropylene in flaming or smoldering combustion. The influence of air velocity, raidant heat flux,, and 02 concentration is examined. A comparison between experimental results and band models is present.

RADIATION MODEL

Over the last several decades extensive theoretical and experimental studies have yielded a general and fundamental spectral basis for gaseous radiation. An important conclusion of these studies

A simple model of a multiple fire is considered in which the separate, free burning fires form a squa:e matrix. A theoretical sca~ing law is deduced for the conditions under which the individual flames will merge, which is independent of the number of fires involved, and in which the height of the n
