Permeability meter measures water vapour and gases

V ersaperm Ltd has introduced a ver- sion of its permeability meter for caps and closures, that in addition to measuring the water vapour permeability can also be configured to measure for a wide range of other industrial gases such as oxygen, CO 2 and hydrocarbons.

The meter can produce permeation results within 30 minutes, compared with the extended timescales of gravimetric methods. It will measure the condition of the seal and also permeability through the cap. It can also be used to test samples of the material, the seal itself or the container as a whole.
