β¦ Synopsis
This paper reports results for Raman scattering study of the electron beam irradiated graphite by using laser micro probe technique. The results indicate the up and down shifts of the E, mode peak with decreasing crystallite size. Both shifts are explained in terms of the phonon dispersion and the wave vector uncertainty.

The effect of colloidal Au particle aggregation on surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra was probed by SERS filtration experiments. In this approach, SERS and optical spectra were recorded for trans-1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene (BPE)-aggregated solutions of colloidal Au filtered through str
Petroleum coke has been reduced in size in various types of size reduction equipment. Test samples were fabricated from the ground coke by molding and extrusion and, subsequently, graphitized. Properties of the final graphite were determined and did not show any marked effect from the type of side r
## Abstract We investigate the finiteβextensibility effect on the equilibrium size of a single polymer chain by using a Floryβtype calculation. The finite extensibility of the chain is effectively taken into account by modifying the Gaussian stretching energy to a nonβGaussian form which recovers t
