✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Dedifferentiated Acinic Cell Carcinoma (DAcCC) is a rare salivary gland malignancy. It has a high tendency to recur and metastasize and thus has a poor prognosis. So far, to our knowledge, only one case of DAcCC has been reported in the cytology literature. Herein, we describe a second case of DAcCC from a fine‐needle aspiration (FNA) along with its subsequent histological correlation. Diagn. Cytopathol. 2009. Β© 2009 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.

## Abstract Salivary gland‐type carcinomas of the lung are rare but well‐known tumors. Among them, acinic cell carcinoma (ACC) is extremely rare and its cytological features have not been reported. We present a case of bronchial ACC and describe its cytological characteristics. The tumor occurred i

Crile and Hazard reported in 1953 a follicular pattern of papillary thyroid carcinoma. Little has been said about this pattern in the cytologic literature. From more than 8,000 thyroid aspirates in our files, we reviewed all those diagnosed as ''follicular variant of papillary carcinoma,'' ''suspect

This report presents the fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) findings of a multicystic renal tumor in a 52-yr-old woman. The aspirate smears contained clusters of cells with large, irregular nuclei and cytoplasmic vacuoles. Subsequent nephrectomy revealed a multicystic nephroma (MCN). Although most

Metaplastic carcinomas of the breast are uncommon breast tumors with aberrant cellular differentiation, most commonly showing ductal, squamous, and mesenchymal components. A breast carcinoma composed of both epithelial and melanocytic differentiation is rare, with only four previously reported cases
