β¦ Synopsis
When a killer resurfaces after 17 years on the run, Louisiana Bureau of Investigation fugitive hunter, Remy Fontaine, is tasked with finding the man. The previously cold case becomes an active murder investigation when Baton Rouge PD discover a dead woman in her backyard and tie it to the man now living under an assumed identity.
However, when Remy is approached by her boss, SAC Hubert, and colleague, Elliot Gainor, a new problem is thrown her way. Gainor has been working on a case all too familiar to Remy, one that altered the course of her entire life. The case is tied to a trafficking ring under the control of Kyle DeChamp, who remains behind bars. In fact, Remy is slated to present a witness statement against his release to the New Orleans Parole Board soon. But Hubert and Gainor want her to go against her instincts and testify that DeChamp should be granted parole. Itβs the only way, they tell her, to take down the ring for good.
So while Remy works to find her fugitive, who continues to leave a trail of blood in his wake, she must now face the notion that DeChamp could be releasedβand soon. And if he is, will she be content to let the case play out as Gainor wants it, or will she take matters into her own hands and finish what she started years ago?
