This patent describes a sealing arrangement for the bearing on a clamping bolt such as may be used to support the bracket of an idler pulley for an engine belt system. A U-ring seal is used in a flange orientation facing radially outwards instead of an O-ring or to provide improved sealing against contaminant, more allowance for tolerances and less friction for adjustment.
