Abstract

This article presents design considerations of a filter integrated Wilkinson power divider (FIPD), which helps to reduce the circuit size.The ฮป/4 impedance transformers of the conventional Wilkinson power divider are replaced by filters with an insertion phase of 90ยฐ at the center frequency. The concept is validated by two prototypes centered at 2.4 GHz. The measured 3โ€dB bandwidths for both prototypes are 60% while for the conventional design is 200%. ยฉ 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
